Since the beginning of time people have been inherently drawn to the cosmos. The sun, moon and stars have fascinated us from the dawn of time. We've used them to tell time with sundials, to guide ships and navigate the oceans with star charts, and even to tell us a little about ourselves.
Astrology is a spiritual practice that involves studying the movements and positions of celestial bodies, such as planets and stars, to gain insight and understanding about human affairs and the natural world. Astrology is based on the belief that there is a connection between the patterns and movements of the cosmos and events and experiences on Earth.
When we are born we are immediately recognized in many places as belonging to a group based simpy on our star signs and for many people one of the things they do everyday is to check their horoscope - a little bit of daily wisdom, a prediction or some interesting info or advice given to us based on our star sign.
You will often hear someone say "Of course, I'm a (insert star sign here" when someone describes something about their personality or the way they respond or react to certain things. Even in other cultures the charts are there just occasionally the signs are animals like in Chinese culture.
Some people will even consult their horoscopes, star charts and birth charts to make sure they choose the right partner whose sign matches perfectly with theirs.
Astrology is often used to create birth charts, which are maps of the positions of celestial bodies at the time of a person's birth. These charts are used to gain insight into a person's personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, and life path. Astrology can also be used to gain insight into current events and future trends, as well as to make decisions about relationships, career, and other important aspects of life. For people who practice astrology, numerology and more they provide important insights they help them navigate life in a way that makes they feel confident and comfortable. It hels them to get to know themselves better, often on a deeper level and that can be incredibly therapeutic for many people.
There are many different types of astrology as I mentioned before, including Western astrology, Vedic astrology, and Chinese astrology. Each type of astrology has its own unique approach and methods, but all share the belief that the movements of the cosmos have a profound impact on our lives and experiences.
One newer astrological reading that has become increasinlgy popular is called a "Moon Reading" and this type of reading looks at the moon and how it looked and where it was amongst the stars at your time of birth.
Moon signs/charts hold different information than the star signs as it explores a different aspect of who you are. The more intimate, emotional, inside characteristics that don't often come out as bright and clearly as your start signs characteristics sometimes do.
Moon Readings offer information on:
Hidden talents, strengths and secret gifts. Potential ways to find love and deep spiritual connection with a soulmate. Innate mental and intuitive abilities you might posses as well as how you can become more influential in your life, career and working relationships.
Some readings also say they can reveal your ideal career or business opportunities you could succeed at most based on your astrological profile as well as how to achieve the wealth and abundance.
I must say I found my moon reading to be surprisingly accurate in many ways and provided info about me that I often felt my star sign did not.
Astrology can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and personal growth, but it's important to approach it with an open mind and a willingness to explore new ideas and perspectives. If you are interested in learning more about astrology, there are many resources available online, including books, websites, and courses some of which I will link here as I come across them if you are want to check them out.
