Current situation - FRUSTRATION!

"Success is not the absence of failure, it's the persistence through failure"

Aisha Tyler

A couple of years ago I decided to start "working online" and then last year added a blog to the variety of things I was working on.

Since then all I can say is I have successfully had one failure after another. Unfortunately I'd like to say that they've led me to the results I'd hoped for and I'm now living the dream and reaping the benefits of all my hard work - I'm not.

Atleast, not yet.

I'm determined to figure this online world out and to make it successful enough to provide support for my family in the way I need it to.

Why?

Well, I have no other option really. I have trained in early childhood education and developmental services. I've worked in offices and factories and yet none of those things are possibilities for me right now in life. My current health just won't allow for it. Physical work isn't a possibility for me and working online for someone else seems a lot less attractive.

Here are some of the online things that I'm working on at the moment:

  1. Blogging of course. While I am loving the outlet for writing (which isn't a strong suit for me as I studied fine art and prefer to create with my hands) isn't growing quit as rapidly as I'm sure more experienced writer's ones might. Coming up with catchy titles, inspiring words or stories that draw people in has never really been a forte but I am enjoying the learning process.

  2. Social Marketing for Modere and DoTerra - which I love but I just can't bring myself to do some of the things that I feel don't sound genuine to who I am. I absolutely LOVE the products as some of them have made a huge difference in my life and well-being. Selling online in any form has never been something I thought I would get into but here I am trying to grow connections, post, inspire, educate and share in hopes of in some way helping someone else find something to benefit them and of course grow an online business alternative.

  3. E-books. Yes - I have written a couple and created some blank ones as well to see how that worked out. I've had a few sales but nothing life altering as of yet. Pretty sure my lack of SEO and advertising funds is part of the issue there. I've always wanted to write children's books and while I only have one done at the moment persistence has taught me a lot about the online publishing world and hopefully I will get more time to build and create more in this area soon.

  4. I've opened a couple of online stores with e-commerce platforms and have again made a few sales from each but not hit the momentum I need. Of course I've learned a TON and will keep working on that area as I feel like it has potential. The idea of having my own shop online to sell products I love is super interesting to me and I hope that manage to figure it out in a profitable way soon as well.

  5. Investing! This one is a super tough learning curve for me since I've always been TERRIBLE with numbers. I mean it! Wrapping my head around numbers, percentages, graphs etc is like learning a foreign language without a teacher. Sometimes I literally just want to give up and cry.

  6. I've started a Youtube channel (literally today) and will work on building up my online presence there. Putting myself online in front of strangers has always been a fear of mine. Personal insecurities ruled a lot of my decisions in the past but as I'm working past them I'm expanding my horizons to hopefully all good things.

  7. Affiliate marketing - the dreaded world of trying to sell others items online without help from a company like Modere or DoTerra. It's a tough nut to crack for me and I have to say my persistence better pay off on this one because I've been pulling my hair out lately with it. I've watched countless hours of videos on how to create funnels and let me just tell you....I have yet to make a functional one. It's very very disheartening.

My current situation while I remain mainly optimistic is frustration!

I cannot believe how hard it is to get real legit helpful information when you are starting ANYTHING online.

The number of people offering courses, mentorships and pretending to be "guru's" is ridiculous. I love the idea of getting some videos up on Youtube because again, there are some people on there providing genuine solid information but for the most part finding someone to help you achieve things online is much much more difficult than it looks.

I've refrained from spending lots of money paying for courses etc. as I have been to enough "Free Master classes" and seen enough third party reviews to know that unless you have hundreds of dollars you don't mind throwing away chances are you are going to be scammed.

Creating passive income streams online is something I'm invested in time and energy wise and is something I believe is achievable. The only problem is the countless hours one has to spend if they aren't planning to buy every course out there to see which one might be legit.

Hours googling info, reading blogs, posts and watching videos to get a little scrap of information that moves you just a tiny bit further ahead than you were before.

It's incredibly frustrating I'm not going to lie. It's hard and no wonder so many people don't succeed and think it's only a dream.

I am now determined to make as many video's and reviews as needed to help direct other people like me just starting their journey online to the right places so they don't waste so much time weeding through the information that isn't going to get them further ahead.
